I’m CLOSING THE LOOP on Project HERAKLITUS and my explorations into LLM generated writing.
Stepping away feels simple; it was novel, fast, educative, scary at times (borderline psychosis at others) and in the end I’m eager to return to old-fashioned writing— in particular the pace and personal-ness of cognition there. So, really, stepping away isn’t so simple. Especially when Ai is not going anywhere, and the general public seems to be worlds behind of the cutting edge of tools in intelligence research.
For Project HERAKLITUS essays, view temporary archives at heraklitus.substack.com and wayneintelligence.substack.com —- I’ll integrate my favorites into some part of this website eventually; I do think the research was intriguing and encourage folks to read the concept paper or play around with the Claude artifact demo of HERAKLITUS.
To officially CLOSE THE LOOP, I’ll explore the project goals, outcomes and more broadly pros & cons of Ai-writing. Gathering my thoughts on the future of rhetoric and creation in an increasingly tech/intelligence driven world feels necessary due to my 5+ years teaching college-level Rhetorical Arts, Academic Writing and Creative Writing. I can’t stop thinking about what I’m seeing there and in my own Ai fiddlings. More to come… Must close Loop….
